The Business-Boosting Benefits of Collective-E Emails and What Happens When You *Accidentally* Filter or Ignore Them

Boy, did I have a learning experience over the past few weeks! As many of you, I’m a busy gal. My inbox is out of control (not to mention I have 10 email addresses coming into by inbox!) and the filter option has been my best friend. I filter almost everything. I have to – or else I’d wake up to over 500 emails every morning… just hanging out in my inbox. Even the Collective-E emails… all filtered.

BUT… I now realize that I made a huge mistake - specifically with my Collective-E filters.

We all know that when things are filtered, we sometimes forget to check the filter and before you know it, there’s 100 unread emails in there and I definitely don’t have the time to go through all of them, so I normally look at two or three that have catchy subject lines, but the rest simply go unread.

HUGE MISTAKE – did I mention that?

After becoming more and more involved with Collective-E, I now realize that CE emails I receive are hugely important and vital to the success of my business. I’ve been missing so many opportunities. Trust me when I say – they are jam packed with such amazing information and I’ve been missing out for over a year now, thanks to my anal retentive need to have a nice and neat place for every email I get.

A few nights ago I went back through all my Collective-E emails and I’m kicking myself because I could be so much farther ahead in my business if I just would have taken the time to read the emails as they were coming through.

I missed out on many thing early on… like building my profile, and getting my companies’ setup in the directory. I also overlooked the PR leads and the amazing events that CE offers all because of my filter that I setup. I missed out on things that would have made my CE membership much more beneficial for my business and me.

The CE emails that I was overlooking could have helped me out SO much. What a bummer… but guess what?!?

NO MORE FILTERING – Especially for Collective-E Emails.

You’re probably thinking, “I need to filter my emails to keep my sanity”. And you’re right – some things just need to be filtered and organized. I agree with you. Most of my emails are still being filtered. But I know one thing is for sure… I am no longer filtering Collective-E emails! And I’m taking action on each email I get from CE. Meaning – each one is packed full of things to help your business… read them! You’ll be surprised at how you can take your business to the next level simply by reading and taking action on the content that is within each email.

So I challenge you this week to also take action on the business building tips YOU learn through Collective-E as well.  From branding to social media to vital PR leads, these are tips that will give you the creative edge you need to succeed in this economy.   Your business and bank account will thank you for it.
